Ocean Sands Resort is situated on 4 acres of beautiful oceanfront property overlooking Rathtrevor Beach in Parksville. The resort consists of one and two bedroom oceanfront or poolside condominium units. Each unit has a fully equipped kitchen, gas fireplace and large balcony either overlooking the ocean or pool. The amenities include a heated outdoor pool, playground, indoor hot tub, sauna and laundry facilities.

Ocean Sands Resort is the ultimate vacation destination! There are three miles of sandy beach right at your doorstep. There are a wide variety of activities to enjoy, including whale and wildlife viewing tours, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, caving, kayaking, scuba diving as well as many others. The resort is also within 30 minutes of six world-class golf courses.
Review the different style of rooms available at Ocean Sands Resort to determine which style of room best suits your needs. If the unit is not available for your preferred dates, inquire on the availability of a couple other of your favourite units.

Once you have chosen a unit that is available for your stay, you can make a reservation by calling 1-877-733-5969. A 25% deposit is required upon booking daily, weekly or monthly reservations. A deposit of 25% of the first months rent is required for seasonal reservations. The deposit can be paid by Visa, MasterCard, personal cheque or money order.

Cancellation Policy:

Shoulder Season/Value Season Daily Rentals
72 hours minimum notice to arrival is required for cancellations and changes to bookings
​
Peak Season/Monthly Rentals
30 days minimum notice to arrival is required for cancellations and changes to bookings
​
For cancellations made within the required notice, the deposit will be refunded less a $25.00 administration fee.
Changes and cancellations made outside the allotted time will result in forfeiting the deposit.
The reservation is a firm commitment and once checked in, no refund will be given for early departures.

Office Hours:
The front office is open daily from 9 AM - 6 PM
For all late arrivals (past 6 pm), you must call prior to your arrival to arrange your check in.
No Same Day bookings past 4 PM
Pet Policy:
Sorry, no pets allowed.

Smoking Policy:
No smoking or vaping in units, patios or balconies. Smoking or vaping in designated smoking areas only.
A smoking surcharge of $550.00 will be charged for smoking in undesignated areas.

Extra Person Policy:
Rates for our Two bedroom units are based on quad occupancy.
Rates for our One bedroom units are based on double occupancy.
Additional guests are $10 per person per night

Long Distance:
Calling cards are required to make long distance calls.
​
Wi-Fi:
The resort has free Wi-Fi available in all rooms and common areas.
​
Concierge Services:
We will do our best to help you out at the front desk, but there is no professional concierge service provided.
Loyalty Discount:
Loyalty discount is at the discretion of the resort and may not apply to group bookings
Guest must have stayed the previous year and the condition of the unit at departure must meet our check out guidelines to qualify
Excessive changes to reservations may forfeit your loyalty discount

Propane BBQ's:
Flame BBQ's are not allowed on the patios or balconies. Some ground floor condos have propane BBQ's, which must be used on the BBQ pad. Currently the resort does not supply BBQ's to guests other than those specific ground floor condos. Some second or third floor condos have electric BBQ's on the balconies. If you bring a portable BBQ, there is a picnic area by the beach where it can be used.

Housekeeping:
There is no daily housekeeping services included at the posted rates. For Daily/Weekly guests, additional consumables can also be picked up at the office. For Daily/Weekly guests, towels can be exchanged once a day at the office. Daily housekeeping service can be arranged - check with office for current rates.

Consumables for Daily/Weekly Rentals:
Ocean Sands Resort supplies complimentary coffee, tea, sugar, coffee mate, paper towel, dish soap, dishwasher soap, toilet paper, hand soap as well as shampoo, conditioner and bar soap. For Monthly guests, consumables are provided for arrival, but will not be replenished during your stay.

Electric Car Chargers
Two chargers are available for guest use. Please charge your vehicle, then return it to your assigned parking space.
​
Noise:
Ocean Sands Resort is a family oriented resort, especially during the summer months. It is strongly recommended that any guests that are noise sensitive rent a top floor unit.
​
Fireplaces:
As part of our environmental initiative, Ocean Sands Resort shuts off the pilot on all fireplaces throughout the summer months; therefore fireplaces are not operational through the summer months.
​
Studio Condos:
The studio condos do not have any kitchen facilities or sanitary location to wash dishes and therefore these units do not contain any dishes or cutlery. There are 2 drink glasses, 2 wine glasses and 2 coffee mugs which can be exchanged on a daily basis.
